Photo Favors…a Trend Here to Stay!
Gone are the days of tchotchkes (I had to google the correct spelling of that word!) for wedding favors. You know, wine bottle stoppers, coasters, paperweights, etc… Which is so refreshing to hear because where did they all end up? In someone’s catch all drawer at home or even worse…in the trashL But a new wave of favors have hit the wedding scene and I think it’ll be a keeper. More and more brides are opting for a photobooth during their reception. I know, I know, Photobooths are exactly a new trend. But the way they are being done is! Below is all of the info you need to get the Photo Favor that best suits your style!
Traditional – Similar to those you would find at a carnival or fair which print the strips of silly photos your guests will love posing for!
Traditional + – These are larger Photobooths usually created from drapes and printers which allow 8-12 guests to get in at once…so fun!!
Both of the above options can come with a double print option so guests will leave one of their strips in your guest book and they get to take the other home with them for a keepsake. You can also usually customize the strip with your names and wedding date!
A Twist on the Traditional – Some photographers are offering a new photobooth that consists of a backdrop, several props and a photographer with a camera. I have to say this is one of my favorites! A good photographer behind the lens will get your guests in the spirit of the moment and help them to create fun shots for you to enjoy! You can choose the props (sports paraphernalia, mustaches, chalkboards for silly messages, photoframes, etc…). Ask your photographer if this is something they offer!
Ultra Modern – If you are looking for something that your guests have just never seen…consider this new toy! Photomingle. It’s an interactive photo spot where guests can see their picture on large plasmas and write on the touchscreen with their finger right there. They can also send the images or upload them to several social media pages. It’s definitely the newest, hottest trend in Photobooths right now!
Something Different – For the quirky couple with super fun guests, consider doing a Flipbook favor! The Flipbook People have created a cool new concept for weddings where guests stand in front of a camera and do a dance, a jig or silly action for 3 seconds. They then turn that 3 second video into a flipbook for your guests to keep! The cover is personalized with your names and wedding date and props are included!!
